Advocacy Forum-Nepal convened a dialogue on the TJ process with Civil Society Organizations

On 9 December 2021, Advocacy Forum-Nepal convened a dialogue in Kathmandu among the members of the civil society organization intending to reinvigorate the discourse on the transitional justice process and to share and exchange the past and present experiences of the human rights defenders working on transitional justice. The Government's apathy towards reviving the mired transitional justice process has further pushed the peace process to an absolute impasse.

The major discussion of the meeting:

  • Analysis of the current political and human rights context, and the recent update on the transitional justice process,
  • Identification of gaps, challenges and joint plan of action for future intervention,
  • To reinvigorate the process seeking the consolidated voice of civil society organizations,
  • Stakeholder Mapping (inclusion of all the potential stakeholders and actors).

The meeting concluded identifying some of the major action points to reinvigorate the long- stalled TJ process and to continue regular discussion.
